BRIEF
Local nail guru Spiro Depis, the number one provider of manicure services to Geelong’s ‘ladies who lunch’, and their powerbroker counterparts, approached Clever Digital for expert advice on rebranding his longstanding nail tech business as ‘Alpha Nails’. Spiro wanted a fresh look for his uber successful boutique business. He sought an image that conveyed his love of all things Greek, whilst representing the very high standard of service and quality that his clients of many years standing had come to expect.

Clever Digital was instrumental in guiding Spiro’s choice of logo and livery to reflect a fusion of the timeless classical yet contemporary feel of his ultimate nail services salon. We wanted to appeal to a feminine market, while still letting Spiro’s individuality and masculinity shine through. The font has some flourish, black was used for depth and text is treated to give the appearance of liquid nail polish. “Alpha Nails” was a great play on words, and there was no hiding that this was a male-run business. Alpha is also the first letter of the Greek alphabet, therefore incorporated this letter into the design and using lots of white reflects Spiro’s Greek heritage. We were pleased to deliver the project on time and on budget, and help take Alpha Nails to the next stage of Spiro’s business plan.
